March 13, 2025 – Tacloban City – A total of 71 individuals gathered at Rawis Elementary School for FundLife’s project orientation, marking a significant step in the organization’s ongoing mission to empower vulnerable children—particularly girls—through sports, mentorship, and education. This initiative aims to raise awareness about plastic recycling, environmental sustainability, and youth development, leveraging football and futsal as powerful tools for engagement and learning.
The event welcomed six teachers, 16 parents, and 44 students, all eager to take part in play-based learning sessions designed to educate children on their rights, protection, and the importance of environmental action. In addition to introducing these foundational topics, FundLife outlined a series of activities that will provide continuous support and opportunities for participation.
A key highlight of the orientation was the program’s strong emphasis on mentorship and social issue awareness. FundLife’s initiative will not only introduce children to sports-based education but also create pathways for local tournament participation and leadership training. These efforts aim to equip young leaders, teachers, and local government representatives with the skills and knowledge necessary to drive meaningful change in their communities.
As more children sign up, the initiative continues to gain momentum, reinforcing FundLife’s commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and leadership. By broadening access to sports and education-driven interventions, the organization is building a network of empowered young learners and mentors, ensuring a long-term impact in the community.
FundLife remains dedicated to its vision of creating a world where every child is safe and enabled to dream in color. With this latest initiative at Rawis Elementary School, the organization is making strides in providing not just access to play, but also the tools for young people to thrive as future leaders and advocates for a sustainable world.
