In celebration of International Women's Month this March 2025, FundLife and Girls Got This proudly relaunch the Move for Equity Community Run—an inspiring movement that turns every step into a statement of strength, resilience, and empowerment for girls everywhere. Now in its third year, this impactful event will take place at the Old Leyte Provincial Capitol, 34 Senator Enage St., Tacloban City. More than just a run, it’s a powerful call to action, uniting individuals and communities to #Move and #StandWithGirls in the fight for gender equity and meaningful opportunities for young women to thrive. Girls Got This harnesses the transformative power of play and education to protect, empower, and equip vulnerable girls with the tools they need to shape their own futures. The Move for Equity campaign fuels this mission—ensuring access to quality education, dignified work opportunities, and protection from violence. Through collective action, we are fostering a world where every girl has the freedom and support to flourish.
This year’s theme, Move for Equity: #Move to #StandWithGirls, is a rallying cry to break the barriers that hold girls back. Every step taken during this campaign represents resilience, empowerment, and the journey toward a more just and equitable world. Moving together means standing in solidarity—it means turning individual effort into a collective force for change. Whether through education, economic empowerment, or protection from violence, every step we take contributes to a future where girls can live happy, fulfilled, and meaningful lives.
You can take action by joining the Community Run in Tacloban City and taking every step to #Move to #StandWithGirls. You can also use your voice to advocate for girls’ rights on social media and within your community by speaking up, sharing stories, and amplifying the message of gender equity. Another way to support the cause is by donating or contributing to programs that provide education and empowerment opportunities for girls in vulnerable communities. For those who want to participate anywhere in the Philippines, the March Move Challenge is an exciting virtual movement that allows participants to take action from wherever they are. Whether walking or running 3.8 km, you can dedicate your steps to #MoveForEquity throughout March. By tracking your progress, spreading awareness, and showing solidarity, you help advocate for girls' rights in a powerful way.
Together, we can take meaningful steps toward a future where every girl has the freedom to dream, achieve, and lead.
